U.S. President Donald Trump said Friday that there’s no need for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to take part in negotiations to end the war in Ukraine, according to Bloomberg.
In an interview with Fox News Radio, Trump reportedly argued that Zelensky has been in meetings for the past three years and hasn’t managed to end the war.
“I don’t think he’s very important to be at meetings, to be honest with you. When Zelensky said, oh, he wasn’t invited to a meeting, I mean, it wasn’t a priority because he did such a bad job in negotiating so far,” Trump said.
